Getting it to hold
Most failed tape joints are surface, not tape. Apply to clean, dry material with no dust, dirt, oil or loose flakes on it, and press along the full bonded length instead of tacking the ends. Storing the spare rolls
Cool, dry, out of direct sunlight, and left in the packaging until a roll is wanted. That keeps the adhesive edge clean.
